2011 Lincoln MKX Gets Top Safety Pick
The 2011 Lincoln MKX joins MKS , MKT, and MKZ in the IIHS winner’s circle. The IIHS crash tests, and the Top Safety Pick designation, apply only to MKX 2011 models which have improved roof strength. All Lincoln models feature a number of safety technologies such as advanced radar warning systems.
Most obvious revisions of the 2011 Lincoln MKX is the new nose, which now boasts the same waterfall grille treatment that we see on other Lincoln models. The interior also received upgrades in materials, design and features.
The 2011 MKX features a solid unibody construction, which provides an energy-absorbing structure to help protect occupants, as well as bumper-to-bumper flow-through side rails, structural design and A-pillars, all of which are designed to better manage crash energy.
